CHRONICLES OF THE THIRD RECKONING
The Book of Warriors
There are many stories in a war: stories of the powerful and weak, kings and common folk, warriors and witches.
And stories of heroes, thrust into the forefront of battle.

Less than a generation has passed since the Second Reckoning. At the brink of defeat by the mutant Maranshai, the warrior Duradin saved the Land by leading a remarkable alliance of Humen, Lelethi, Flighters and Beasts. Now Maranshai has regained his strength, using powerful new forces to threaten the Balance which holds the very Land together. No one is ready for another war. Duradin is missing. The races of Humen have returned to their squabbles. The time of the kings has come and gone. The witches have power, but whose side are they really on? Duradin’s son Dior has been searching for his father for years. Dior can fight, but he’d rather do it alone. He’s not his father, and the last thing he wants is to waste time trying to convince the Denizens to form another alliance. So why does everyone keep telling him he must? Sar: The Half Bred Decades have passed since the last great war, the Second Reckoning. At the brink of defeat by the mutant Maranshai, the races of Humen are forced into an uneasy, once-in-a-lifetime alliance. The alliance holds just long enough to imprison Maranshai and form a tenuous peace. The fierce Dormiri, the only Humen race to join with Maranshai, haven’t given up their raiding and are still hated and feared. Born of a Dormiri father and a captive slave wife, Sar is a hefmiri — a half bred. He knows little of the last war and the outside world. Because of his mixed blood, Sar is ridiculed by his clan and considered little more than a vassal, not yet a man but forced to work like one. Though he longs to fit in, he is alone, a misfit, with the blood of two races but accepted by neither. Maranshai has escaped, and once again the Dormiri will go to war. Sar’s only chance to prove himself and finally be accepted is to fight. But for which side? Available on kindle and in paperback on amazon: Sar: The Half Bred |
